    Netflix Question

We are upgrading the internet in my house and I was just curious as to what the mb/s is for those of you who have Netflix and can stream it through your ps3. We are upgrading to around 12 mb/s. Should this be fast enough?

Fast enough for Amazon's video service. (Don't have Netflix)

That should be plenty. Check the Netflix website to be sure. They probably have a section that says what the minimum mb/s are and what is recommended.

    Re: Netflix Question

I would hope so. We just have a 1.5 mb line with Century Link. Streaming isn't the highest quality, maybe a little below DVD quality. We us a PS3 as well.

Yep this is correct, unless you have Mediacom, in which case you will pay for 12 but only get about 4 and then it will cut out every 30 minutes. It's a great service and I love calling in and having all my problems dealt with. Great customer service.

    Re: Netflix Question

We have (or at least did have) wild blue as a provider. I'm not sure how fast the mb/s used to be, but I couldn't even get into Netflix on my ps3 because it wasn't fast enough. Glad to hear 12 will work though. I've been having withdrawals since school got out.

I'm sure we have a data cap, anybody run into problems with their data limit using Netflix?

I don't think there is a data limit with cable.....

I'm out in the country. So we don't have cable, it's a satellite provider.

    Re: Netflix Question

Honestly, I've been thinking about cancelling Netflix. The streaming isn't bad, it's just if I want to watch something recent I might as well rent it through Zune on the 360. The one advantage it has is getting complete seasons of TV shows.

Depends on provider. Mine is 250GB per month. Never come close even when streaming games for CF and watching movies.

Latency may be an issue for streaming via satellite.
