    Brackins ...

I just watched the media day video and I must say that I was impressed by Craig's responses. He seems like a great kid (ok, I'm an old fart) and has a great attitude towards the team and his role in it. Not selfish at all. Wow, it really made me a CB fan; I really like this guy and will be rooting for him. Rooting for an entire 4 years hopefully. Go clones!

I am right along with you rickybaby (except I am not an old fart ) I have been pumped about him ON the court for over a year now, but now I am a fan of him OFF the court as well. He doesn't seem like a ME ME ME type of guy (which in his positon he COULD be.) I truly believe (barring injury) that he will be someone with the chance to go pro early if he embraces McDermott. Here's hoping he doesn't and I-State gets an AMAZING 4 years out of him!

I can echo your sentiments guys - I'd never heard him speak before and he just sounded like a really good kid and sounded excited to be a Cyclone. If he can become the player he's capable of being, we definitly have a keeper! Good luck to everybody on the team this year... first game is only 2 days away!

I, too, thought he came off sounding really likable and smart. I know this doesn't necessarily translate to success on the court, though, as I remember seeing Corey McIntosh last year and thinking, "This guy is gonna lead us and really be a good one." Sadly that didn't turn out, but if I were a betting man, I would say Brackins will have a better career than CMac!!

I liked Corey McIntosh though. It just ended up that ISU wasnt a good fit for him. Craig will fit.

Yeah, sounds like a great kid. I liked that when they asked him how he wanted to be remembered at Iowa State, he said he just wanted to be remembered as a good guy, a big friendly giant, or something to that effect. That's the answer of a person with character.
