Chizik: We weren't going to kick any FG's...

If my ears heard right, Chizik said,"we weren't going to kick any fieldgoals, we were going on 3rd and 4th downs." Guess we won't see much more of Shaggy. Gutsy, but I like it.

Its almost better when our coach has predetermined that they're going for it on 4th down no matter what. It allows them to work with the play calling a bit more.

Lets think about it... Go for it... or TRUST a kicker that is kicking .533 this season. In the NFL he would of been fired....

Bellzisu is aka Chris Bellcock. Just so I'm not anonymous anymore.

Yeah that works until you are at 4th and goal from like the 9. Then you have to just kick it. But anything outside of 35 yards, it is not worth the risk.

I like it not so much because it gives you the best chance to win a game (who knows) but because of the attitude behind it and the message it sends. No matter what anyone says, this team is not giving up and is playing to win.

seems shaggy has taken a reverse role, he made a game winning kick against Iowa, and he never use to beable to get that game winning kick, however now he cant seem to kick a run of the mill kick. Poor guy...

The Iowa game was Shaggy's Superbowl.

While we are at it, let's not put anyone back to fumble a punt return or call for a fair catch when the defenders are 20 yards from them. Let's just send 11 and try to block the thing every time.

Yes, did anyone tell Todd Blythe that you are able to run with the ball after you catch it?

Someone please explain to me why RJ Sumrall is not back there receiving punts.

Better yet, someone please tell us where Drenard Williams is.

He may be a nice guy off the field, but he just isnt dependable. Granted this probably doesnt help Shaggys mental game any, but he has had plenty of chances to do work and just hasnt proven himself to be a valuable asset to our offense outside of the Iowa game.

So... tie game... 3 seconds left in the game... we have the ball on their 10 yard line... what play do we call?

What's that definition of insanity again? Yeah, continuing to kick field goals would be insane.

A 27 yard field goal in this case.

    No more 45 yard kicks.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.
