anyone have a guess as far as what our attendance will be this year for football? I know people keep saying record pace but what is that? Why havent they updated us on season ticket sales like they always do?

    Re: Football season ticket sales

I got my seating assignment the other day. It made some comment in the letter about not being able to accomodate a lot of moving around due to the high renewal rate.

    Re: Football season ticket sales

All I know is that the student tickets are close to selling out and the South endzone is sold out (and prob will never have tickets available again)

    I want a thermometer.

    Re: Football season ticket sales

My dad got a call from ISU asking him if he wanted to get season tickets. He has typically just done the 3-game pack for $99 and told them that he would probably do that again this year. They told him there's a good chance they wont be able to offer it this year because of how many season tickets they have sold.

    Re: Football season ticket sales

My letter let me know I'm sitting on the hillside (not really necessary). What I'm more curious about is which parking lot I get assigned to as a first time donor.

I'll be interested to see how they handle re-seating those sections when they finally bowl in the south endzone.

Or perhaps a scare tactic to get people to buy a season ticket. 33 bucks per game at a D1 BCS level is a great deal for the consumer but it can't generate a ton of revenue.

Not to be cynical, but I could see this being an easy way to try to sell a few more tickets. Same section of season tickets are $100 more for 4 more games, no donation required.

With the success of the mini-pack, I find it difficult they would eliminate it entirely. If season ticket sales are up, I'm sure there won't be as many available. It is still listed on cyclones.com as being available Sept 5 (with limited availability).

This was my conclusion as well.

Did your dad roll the dice and wait for the minipack or did he fork over some extra dough to get the season tickets?

Rolling the dice. 3 games is almost too much for them to come to anyways, so worst case scenario they will just get single tickets to a couple of games.
