Still wish he would have went to the Vikes and played for a few years there. AP and LT...what could have been.

Then why did they pursue him?

Probably one of the best back in the last decade and will be the HOF in 5 years.

One of the best backs of all time. Definitely the best all purpose back of all time, right above Marshall Faulk.

I disagree. L.T. is definitely top 3 all-purpose back of all-time, but I can't list him ahead of Walter Payton or Marshall Faulk.

Payton had over 20,000 yards rushing and receiving in his career, (16,726 rushing, 4,538 receiving), and Payton's first 3 seasons in the NFL were 14-game seasons.

Faulk had just over 19,000 career yards, (12,279 rushing, 6,875 receiving).

Tomlinson finished with over 18,000 yards, (13,684 rushing, 4,772 receiving).

Also, Payton and Faulk helped their teams win Super Bowls. I hate to mark that against LT, but it is fact. I've been an L.T./Chargers fan since 2004, but I can't say he was the best all-time.
