    Colorado on FCS? at 11:30am

The game against Colorado is on FCS at 11:30. What is FCS, Fox College Sports I think, but what channel is that?

    Re: FCS?

Not another damn 11:30 game! I hate these early starts, tailgating seems much shorter when we have them. The 1pm and 2:30 starts are much more tailgate friendly.

If the KU game isn't on TV too after all these damned 1130 starts, I'm throwing a chair out a window.

    Re: FCS?

No kidding. Can someone PLEASE put one of our freaking road games on TV!?!?!?

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Re: FCS?

FCS is Fox College Sports. If I get it on Comcast in Chicago, that would bring to 5 the number of Iowa State games that will have been on TV here -- incredible!

    Re: FCS?

I will bet the KU game will be on TV. There is 3 TV slots for 4 games. I think we can beat out OSU vs. Baylor, especially if KU is ranked in the top 10.

I think it's just national Fox Sports, instead of regional . . ??? So that would mean whatever Fox sports you get (I have dish network, so Fox Sports MidWest, channel 418).

From another post, perhaps I'm wrong. It sounds like it's an even-more-obscure channel that isn't on Dish or DirectTV. Maybe it'll change.

I'll let you know a couple days before the game if it's on my online guide! HA!

Fox College Sports is totally separate and different from FSN. Most people who get FSN on their cable or dishes don't get FCS unless you purchase a sports pack. From Cyclones.com:

Fox College Sports is available on Central Iowa Mediacom Digital Cable's sports pack at channel 173. Fox College Sports should not be confused with Fox Sports Net. Fox College Sports is a separate channel.

Re: Colorado on FCS? at 11:30am

FCS (Fox College Sports) is offered primarily through cable and digital cable providers, for customers who don't get all 25 FSN channels. Most of the FCS programming is pulled from FSN affiliates. However, they are now starting to provide exclusive programming -- like the ISU/CU game on Nov. 10, and a few other games.

FCS will offer the game to Dish Network and DirecTV, but it is the satellite companies' choice to pick it up. If the satellite folks decide to take the offer, you'll probably find the game on an "alternate" channel.

For those with Mediacom Digital, FCS (ch. 172-174) is part of the $4.95/mo Sports Pack (ch. 171-178) that also includes CSTV, ESPNU, a tennis channel, a soccer channel, and an outdoorsman channel.
