Any other stats anyone wants to see? I don't have the players broken out by class or position, so I can't do anything with that.

Lots of conclusions could be made of the data. Obviously Welle was a star. All-American. Retired jersey. Ever wonder how she would do today? Would sure be fun to watch her run against the slower, more physical posts. The game has def evolved.

Mmm, Welle, Welle, Welle, and Welle. So she was pretty good.

Interesting to see Francis on the list. Too bad she only had two years. She was probably the most athletic gal we have ever had and she was on our zone and three point teams.

    Re: Historical WBB Stats

It is good to see Jayme Olson and Janel Grimm in the top 10 of points scored list. They were BF's first two recruits from the state of Iowa. They really helped the Cyclones start the winning era. Jayme came from Bettendorf and Janel was from Montezuma. Montezuma was one of the best teams ever in the state. Neither probably would fair well against the players of today.

They were actually Becker's players. Huelman was BF's first recruit. Olsen and Grimm played under Becker for one season.

Becker's teams really struggled to win, but she did bring in some real talent which BF turned into a good team.

Bill's first team also included Tara Gunderson and Julie Hand (that's 150 three-pointers in 1995-96) who were Becker players. Inheriting Olsen, Grimm, Gunderson and Hand dealt Bill a team better than most people realize when just looking at before and after records. He did a great job in leading them to wins but the cupboard was not bare.

Interesting stat: before Gunderson hit 93 threes in 95-96 (Fennelly's first season), ISU's record for threes AS A TEAM was 88 in the eight seasons the 3pt line had been in existence.
