Big 12 representation in the finals

Just another stat that confirms how tough big 12 basketball is. Between the heat and thunder I counted 7 players that came out of the big 12. I'm not sure how the other major conferences are represented, but in comparison I think the big 10 only has 2 players.

That can't be true, the Big Ten is the best conference ever.

Does this stat carry over to football as well or is this reserved for basketball?

Most times, when talking about the Finals while the NBA Finals are going on, they are only talking about basketball.

Re: Big 12 representation in the finals

In the Finals, Big 12 leads with 7 (4 Thunder). ACC has 4 (3 Heat). High School (2 Heat) and SEC (2 Heat) both have three. Big 10, Big East, Pac 12 and International all have two.

The Big 12 is so loaded with talent year after year it's no wonder that they have all those championships...checks record book...Really? Just one title for the Big 12? Same amount for the Big 10 over that same time and less runner ups. But hey, check out all those players in the finals!!

I agree. One should never brag about putting players in the pros unless they have the National Championships to back it up.

    Only in basketball

Seriously though, it doesn't make sense to run down another conference when your conference has less championship game appearances and the same amount of championships.

This is the internet. We'll start behaving rationally over here as soon as everyone else does.

I believe were talking about talent, to be honest the big 12 has a lot of talent but the big ten has more role players and team ball, I mean during college years

I'll just use logic used by Big 10 football fans. "It's obvious we beat up on each other during the regular season because we're such a tough conference and it affects our post-season play".

    I agree with you though.

Get it straight. The Big 10 is bad in bowl games because all the bowl games are in warm weather locations in the opponents back yard.

WRONG!! It's because the B1G always has 2 BCS teams, putting them at a SEVERE disadvantage (please disregard that the SEC also always has 2 BCS teams for the sake of this argument)!!
