Point spreads for every game next season

    Just some offseason fodder...

    Tulsa at Iowa State -2
    Iowa State at Iowa -7.5
Western Illinois at Iowa State -29
Texas Tech -6 at Iowa State
    Iowa State at TCU -20.5
Kansas State -7.5 at Iowa State
Iowa State at Oklahoma State -19
    Baylor -3.5 at Iowa State
    Oklahoma -20 at Iowa State
    Iowa State at Texas -21
    Iowa State -4 at Kansas
West Virginia -10 at Iowa State

    3-9 (1-8)

Nothing shocking here, the odds will always be against us.

Agree with all but Tulsa, TCU, and Texas Tech. Those lines are off

I was slightly surprised to see Baylor with that close of a spread. It's a game I know we can win, I just figured oddsmakers would like the bears a little more than that

So I see a lot of money to be made on these spreads, if we run the ball and minimize the slaughter.

Don't forget Baylol...I don't see us losing that game even if it were on the road, let alone at home.

Smart money is on ISU year after year when these lines come out...not that we cover everytime, but more than not.

Re: Point spreads for every game next season

Not many games I would bet against us on. Western Illinois is a little high for my comfort though. 29 points? We have only beaten one team (Tech last year) by more since 2003.

They must be really, really, bad considering the rest of our lines. What am I missing on Tech? I know Doege is really good, but still.

    Huh? Those spreads are horrible.

Would lay down $100 easy on TCU and Tech spreads, with a good possibility of myself doing the same for Tulsa, Texas and Kansas State.

Iowa spread is normally 7.5 on the road... thinking it will be closer to 9.5 or 10.5 on the road.

Yes...I can see the credits now. At the very least I would hope we could cover most of these spreads.

I meant bet against us. I would bet on us against Tulsa, Iowa, Tech, TCU, KSU, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Maybe a few others, there really aren't any games I find impossible for us to cover.

Trading A&M and Mizzou for a win next year. That makes the Cyclones a 7 Win Team.

Re: Point spreads for every game next season

In the last 2 years, ISU has beaten Texas Tech by a combined average of 25 points. And even though ISU is playing at home, Tech is still a 6 point favorite. Brilliant.

Re: Point spreads for every game next season

I just cant see any team outside UT or OU that beats us by 20+. Especially not an overrated TCU. Not saying we will win, but they wont crush us like that...

I don't think anyone beats us by 20+ next year.
