    Who coulda been?

Who do you feel would have been a even bigger star if given a different situation. Might be injury, might be crappy team, might be better work effort, not smoking weed all day ect.

Grant Hill, and Tracy McGrady come to mind for me. Both were amazing players who never got going full speed due to injury. Sure they had good seasons but never lived up to what they could have.

As far as attitude and whatev goes, Rasheed Wallace. There was a time when several star players considered him the best player in the league. Problem was, he didnt care.

My buddy said Vince Carter, idk if he had all that talent?

    Who else?

That is the start of a good group. Yao Ming, Marcus Fizer, Len Bias, Greg Oden. I think Jay Williams of Duke who got in the motorcycle accident would have been an absolute star. I remember when he played with Duke and they were down 10 with a minute left and he single handedly brought them back to win in OT.

I'm now ashamed of myself for posting in this thread based on the fact that the OP said WHATEV. Really dude? Whatev? Are you Carly Rae Jepsen or something? Mancard revoked until further notice.

    Bo Jackson

He was a big star for sure, but that hip injury really cut his abilities down when he should've had a long and productive 2 sport career

    Re: Who coulda been?

Definitely agree with Yao Ming, especially in this era where several teams play small and the natural center is less common.

Andrew Bynum could be an all-time great if he'd grow up.

The blazers thing, both picks were fine. They had drafted clyde the glide the year previous so no need for Jordan so they took the best big man prospect available to them. I do see what you mean however.

Steven Jackson of the St Louis Rams. Dude is consistent year in and year out on a crappy team.

    Re: Who coulda been?

Ken Griffey is a good one. He was the best in the game in his prime but then caught the injury bug. He could have been right there with Bonds (unjuiced as far as we know)

    I would say Allen Iverson

It's all snark from here on out

I would agree with this one. He was a magician with the ball in his hands, but the problem was he always had the ball in his hands. If the guy would have matured and played the true point guard role instead of trying to outscore everyone on the floor, he could have been one of the best points ever.

Another name to throw out there...Maurice Clarett.
