It also makes it easy for people to tell where you really think our chances of beating certain teams are. Instead of W or L, 100% or 0%, you can be much more specific. Here is a quick estimate from me.

    Team, Percent chance to win

    Sep. 1 Tulsa: 80%
    Sep. 8 at Iowa: 40%
    Sep. 15 Western Illinois: 90%
    Sep. 29 Texas Tech: 70%
    Oct. 6 at TCU: 50%
    Oct. 13 Kansas State: 50%

Oct. 20 at OK State: 40%
    Oct. 27 Baylor: 65%
    Nov. 3 Oklahoma: 10%
    Nov. 10 at Texas: 40%
    Nov. 17 at Kansas: 80%
    Nov. 24 West Virginia: 35%

So to go 6-0 the percent chance would be about 5%.

Those odds put us at 6.5 wins for the regular season. Maybe a tad low for my hopes.

Can't put anybody at 10% anymore, not even Oklahoma, particularly at home!

Chances against Iowa should be more than 50%.

Maybe K State also, especially at home. I think we finally have their number.

I will be saving both in this year's game of picking an undefeated team each week.

I know that this isn't rocket science, but frankly, we have a chance at at least a 10-0 start. After all, Paul Rhaods is our coach.

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.

If anything I would put Baylor higher. Kstate is going to be better as a team this year, but I think they won't get as lucky as they did in close games. Still, I think that game being a coin flip is plenty generous to us.

And OU at 10% is what it is. They are the #1 team in the league, especially considering they have Landry Jones as a senior. WVU is close after.

4 wins is a must in the first half of the season if we want to go bowling again. Kansas is the only "sure win" in the last half of the season.

Iowa, KSU, Okie State and Baylor are very winnable games for us. How we do in these four games will determine how we finish IMHO.

Don`t sweat the trip to Iowa city. We are deeper and stronger in both trenches. We will win this game, but I don`t believe we will win in Fort Worth.

Lol. Iowa's O-Line is deeper and more talented than Iowa State's. The defensive line is probably more talented too, just really inexperienced.

We are winning in Iowa City this year. We will be a better team than we were last year. It shouldn't have even went to OT last year, we were just turning the ball over. A lot is coming back and they should be more consistent this year.

    It's preseason - aim high. We've got a shot at a 13-0 start!

Good luck with that. Don`t be surprised if the ISU Defense has a better understanding of what Davis is trying to do than the Iowa offense. Hawks just have too many things to overcome this year. Even though the hawks play 8 teams that are power rated below 70th in the country, I believe they could struggle to get bowl eligible.

You can believe what you want. I believe they have a legit chance of winning ten games. If the D-Line can be competent (the talent is there) they will surprise a lot of people.
