    Shooting at Auburn

Multi-victim shooting at Auburn apt. complex - WSFA.com: News Weather and Sports for Montgomery, AL.

Many unconfirmed reports on rivals.auburn.com have reported that alleged victims may be football players. Very sad news if true.

    Re: Shooting at Auburn

    From auburn reporter Phillip Marshall:

As I heard sketchy details, I wondered whether I should even post the story on Chizik's interview. A story on football and recruiting and the like just seemed so meaningless. I posted it anyway, and I'm still not sure I should have.

If you follow Twitter, you know what is out there. I can't and won't report anything as fact until it has been officially confirmed. Suffice it to say that what apparently unfolded Saturday night was an unspeakable tragedy.

What we can confirm is that there was a shooting at University Heights Apartments, where a party was being held. That's a nice apartment complex in an area where many students and athletes live. It's not a place anyone would be afraid to go.But something went terribly wrong Saturday night.

As I write this, I don't care about the 2012 season or about Sunday's camp, which really should probably be canceled, or recruiting. I don't care about any of that.I care about the families and friends of victims, now living in a real-life nightmare.

It's terribly sad that there are those among us who, because of grievances real or imagined, are so evil as to be willing to take out a gun and shoot down innocent people. It can happen anywhere, even in a quiet college town like Auburn.

There are at least three dead, and maybe a couple more.

    Re: Shooting at Auburn

    http://www.reddit.com/r/auburn/comme...reported_dead/

Ed Christian, Eric Mack, and Ladarius Phillips have reportedly been shot off Longleaf tonight. Ed Christian has been said to have passed away. This news is just coming in from twitter from football players and some well-known bloggers, so it's likely legit. Update: Ladarious Phillips has passed away.
    Nothing confirmed yet..

Reports of multiple victims after shooting near Auburn University in Alabama | Fox News

Three players---(two of them presumed) dead previously left the AU football team.

Ed Christian, the first victim, was a huge RS Freshmen who left the team for medical reasons and was the size of Keleche O

Sad that something as stupid as a fight over a woman at a pool party leads to killing.

Whole lot of class from the OP news story, in the comments:

IS THAT THE BEST LOOKINGG CHICKS THEY COULD TALK TOO the one has a tat? and both look fat? once again ROLL TIDE
Put the rivalry aside for a moment and think about the lost lives.

    Absolutely tragic news.

    Re: Shooting at Auburn

Terribly tragic news at Auburn. As much as I dislike Chizik, you never want to hear about this. Prayers go out to all involved.

I don't know the whole story, but its sad to think that an argument/disagreement could lead to someone getting shot.

    Re: Shooting at Auburn

Some people take the wrong things too seriously, and the right things not seriously enough. Completely senseless - I don't care what the problem was.

    RIP, victims.
