Re: AROD OPTS OUT OF CONTRACT

Man I hope the Cubs can get this ownership thing settled quickly because the Cubs are one of a few teams that could actually afford him. I'm guessing that the Angels and Red Sox will be in bidding for him and I still would not completely rule out the Yankees still but who else can really afford to pay him $30 mil a year? I read something where whoever signs him will not be able to insure his entire contract because no one will insure a $30 mil a year deal so that rules out any small to mid market teams basically.

I really hate A-Rod, but if you put him in a Cubs uni.... well let's just say it's amazing how much a uniform can change your opinion of a man.

Re: AROD OPTS OUT OF CONTRACT

More teams will probably be able to afford A-Rod than you think because he will bring in a lot of extra revenue. Especially when he gets to the point where he starts breaking records.

Royals use to spend $30 M on their whole team.

    Rangers will be happy.

Re: AROD OPTS OUT OF CONTRACT

I'm a Yankees fan, pretty upset with A-Rod. Saying how he loves playing in New York. I guess he needs to make $30 million a year. I hope he goes to the Cubs, then I can forgive him a little bit.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

The Mets also have the capability to sign high priced free agents.

I hope he goes to the Cubs also, once he goes there and they still can't win it all I would love to hear the excuses for that. Seriously I would just love to see him out of the AL.

Don't be suprised to see the Marlins get in the bidding... They will go after him in attempt to leverage a new downtown ballpark... Plus their payroll is so low that the 30 mil wont hit them as hard.

I sure hope so. The Dodgers have needed a power bat for the past 5 years it seems.
