    Are you a happy employee?

Do you like going to work overall? Are you happy with the major you chose? Do you wish you could go back and do things differently or are you satisfied with your career?

Just wondering what everyones happiness level is with their current line of work.

Also please put down what you do as a career.

Yes, no major (one semester of college), looking back and wishing is for suckers.

Happiness level is pretty good, though I have those Groundhog day/time to make the donuts moments every once in a while.

I'm a field engineer in the oilfield. I don't like going to the office most of the time, but I like going out in the field. I don't like being gone for sometimes a week or two at a time. It's hard to have a social life outside of work. I put up with it because I make good money.

    I guess I'm content.

I work with a couple real jackwagons who think the rules don't apply to them but I'm pretty happy with the rest of my job responsibilities and pay.

Re: Are you a happy employee?

I would never want to go back to college, it was not a good experience. I hated my dept, it was filled with nothing but ineptness. But I am glad I chose that field, I really love my job.

Good money until/unless you want to spend it (and time) with another person, from what I've seen.

My job's a good balance, I get time in the office and time out in the plant. Weather is good = I'm in the plant. Weather sucks = I'm in the office.

Plus, the pay isn't too bad either.

Re: Are you a happy employee?

Not really. My boss is really good. The problem is that his boss doesn't like me because I've called him out on several illegal and unethical decisions. Needless to say I'm looking elsewhere for employment and chugging on trying not to give him any legal reason to fire me. He won't fire me without a reason because I've already threaten to sue him.

Production worker not totally content, still looking for something better. Went to college did not graduate could not afford it, and the debt is really extreme I am student loan free. Was a GM for Jimmy Johns and Assistant manager of a shoe store like the managing aspect not the biggest fan of the retail end of it.

This brings up another question, how many of you are self employed entrepreneurs? I've always wanted to open my own business.

Do you like working everyday and having long hours? If so working for yourself is where it's at.
