Who do you think will have the biggest season next season?

Just was curious beings that its the off season and its getting kind of boring around here. Something to talk about. Im really excited to see the new transfers and im sure Clyburn(e) will lead the team in points but i personally think Melvin Ejim is going to be the biggest surprise and have a breakout season.

I agree completely. Clyburn will score the most points, but I expect Melvin to step up as well.

Re: Who do you think will have the biggest season next season?

Watch out for some of the reserves and role players from last season. I expect big things from McGee. And I know Bubu is kind of a polarizing figure on these forums, but I thought he showed quite a bit of improvement when he was healthy. He could be a surprise contributor next year.

EDIT: I know the question was who will have the biggest season next year. Clyburn's the easy answer. I was just thinking of some other guys on the roster who might be primed to post significantly better numbers than last year.

Clyburn is the obvious answer and I also think Ejim and Babb will benefit from the pace we run with Lucious

I think Clyburn will have a big season but as far as a breakout player I think Gibson could have a great year playing with a true PG like Lucious to feed him the ball in the post.

Clear choice is Clyburn, but I want to see who among our posts is going to become a scorer. We're going to need someone to step up there and be somewhat threatening offensively. I hope Gibson has a breakout year, because I think he is talented enough to be a 12/8 guy for us.

Clyburn will be the leading scorer, but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with Luscious

Since WC is def the person I'm going with a dark horse and off the bench I think Naz Long will be huge.. the guy has great height and I think he will provide much needed depth

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I think Tyrus might make a jump if he takes over some of scottie's minutes even if he still doesn't start.

Tyrus, his hustle is infectious and should help lead the team to a successful year.

Obviously Clyburn should lead the team in points... I am also curious if he'll lead the team rebounding too? I think it is possible.
On a side note I would like to see a major jump in Percy's game. You could see flashes of skillz last year in limited minutes; I would think an off season in CFH's program could lead into even more improvement and consistency with his game, mainly defensively. I don't think his season will be bigger than Clyburn's to the OP's question. But his improved play down low will be very impactful on our tourney aspirations.

Clyburn is probably the most crucial to our success, I'm hoping he has a big year. Lucious and Tyrus are the other 2 who could really step up do to the scoring void created with Scotty and CA gone.

Re: Who do you think will have the biggest season next season?

In terms of production, I think (as everyone does) it will be Clyburn. In terms of intangibles, it needs to be Lucious. He doesn't have to score a lot, or even lead the conf in assists, but he does need to be a floor leader, take care of the ball, push the tempo when it's to our advantage, and get everyone involved. From what I remember of Lucious as a Spartan, he was fast/ had the physical tools - but he didn't always play within the team (part of the reason Izzo showed him the door, I'm sure). Hopefully he has matured in his 1.5 year "hiatus".

IMO, the success of this team, much like last year's won't be due to one or two "stars", but a team which might have 5+ game-leading scorers, and be able to go 9 deep without sacrificing in too many areas of the game.

I do look for Ejim, McGee, and Gibson to step up. I hope Booker also steps up to fill part of the Royce White void (rebounding).

I'm thinking Gibson, if he starts. His stats per minutes played as a freshman are pretty good, and he's very smooth around the basket.
