Do you pick up after your kids?

Not the younger ones - but the older ones who should have some responsibility. Is it just a teenage thing or a sign a extreme laziness that the garbage remains on the counter mere inches from a usable tras can. Anybody else get bothered by this at your home?

Speaking from the "teenage thing" side of this... My parents would chew my *** if I had stuff like that lying around. They would keep reminding me until I got sick of them doing it... Lay down the law!!!!

how about small kids throwing **** all over the floor or carpet of a pizzeria, or other restaurant? I guess it's ok with parents, who in turn leave a crappy tip and leave the area in shambles---like it's 'normal' to throw all kinds of food off the table. Or when they stand on their chairs or run around the restaurant aisles unabated...

Maybe they should be taught to pick up after themselves at an early age.

Um...Kids misbehave and seem mannerless because they're allowed to do it at home. Parents need to crack the wimp---a bunch a panty-waists who let their 4-yr olds run a household

Do you have kids? At some ages it is normal for them to throw food from the table. I admit that I don't pick up all the bits of food our kids throw on the floor at restaurants. But I do leave between 20% and 25% tip if we leave a mess. We do keep ours kids in their seats as well as we can for 1 and 2 year olds. Thankfully, the 5 year old does act well in public.

My parents would chew my *** if I did not pick up after myself. I thank them now because I cannot stand people leaving their crap all over. Have some respect!

I may likely be crucified for this, but I don't know why it is neccesary that parents take 1-4 yr old children to restaurants where you sit down amd order from a menu. Stay home and order takeout, cook meals for your family, or get a damn babysitter!

And when they are older, tell them to stay off my lawn!

Wow tell us how you really feel.

Am I taking my 1 year old to Centro? No, but I don't feel bad taking them to a family restaurant or a local diner. Its nice to get out even with a kid. Plus its probably good for the kid to get some social interaction outside the house and daycare. Does he throw a fit? Sometimes but we are quick to take him out and not interrupt the grumpy old patrons.

Our little girl will be going all kinds of places with us: restaurants, parks, football games, basketball games (when she can handle it).

Too bad that bothers one poster here. I'm sure he'll learn to get over it.

I probably will get over it, but since nobody likes to hear me ***** in real life, I let my bitterness out on the internet in the meantime...
