That was a sweet horsecollar tackle at the beginning. Remember when you could do that legally? =)

    I noticed it too.

I didn't think Banks looked like a Heisman contender in the second half either. I know his TD to Int was low but I would be curious to see how many fumbles he had. I am guessing it wasn't too many after this game because they won the rest of their games in the regular season.

Seneca was just fun to watch. That dude could absolutely deliver on the run. Man I miss that.

I miss running a real offense. I hate this spread ****. Then again, with Seneca Wallace to run it, we could probably make the Wing T look good.

Seneca's cross-body throw while running to the side was amazing to watch live. Everybody in the room took a gasp (and they were all Hawks) when it happened.

I think (while he didnt get hurt) that is a great example of why that shouldnt be allowed, to violent and out of control imo.

I also liked how the great bob sanders got burnt lol.

At the time, I doubt to many people knew who he was. Mike and Mike didn't become popular until sometime after their show was simulcasted on TV in 2004, I believe.

Re: ISU vs. Iowa 2002 TV Highlights

I remember this game very well....got very drunk in someone's backyard party down an alley with bands....South of the stadium I believe. I stayed there til the Hawk fans got to be too annoying.....more than 5 minutes if you can believe. Got a group of Clones to walk up to the bar with me and watched the second half, so amazing....so many ****** off Hawks.

Re: ISU vs. Iowa 2002 TV Highlights

My favorite road gamer of ANY team I follow. I took my oldest son who was around 10 at the time and we were in the end zone seats.

At half-time a drunk, obnoxious Hawk fan got in both of our faces as he walked by yelling and slobbering about how we liked the game and kicking clown butt, etc. The only response I could offer was it was only 1/2 of the game and in Ames we play 4 quarters.

When he sulked off with about 5 minutes to go in the game he would not even make eye contact...
