Mark Pearson of 1040 WHO 'Big Show' Dead

Mark Pearson, popular Iowa farm broadcaster, dead at 54 | Des Moines Register Staff Blogs

Stunned by this...was always very good to me and put a smile on the face of all he was around. From what I know of others, he was that way to most everyone.

This is just awful. I know the family. Prayers go to them in their hours of grief.

Mark was a representative for everything a great man and Iowan should be. I got to deal with him a couple times at the State Fair Sale of Champions and it was truly a blessing. Prayers go out to his family.
