Angry Pictures Are Worth A Thousand Words

I know I am beating a dead horse, and kudos to Sean Keeler for his supportive article, but....

I couldn't help but notice, in continued disbelief, the two pictures in the Des Moines Register for the Clone game. Could the Register have used the pictures highlighting:
    1. Alexander Robinson rushing for a career-high 149 yards & a touchdown
    2. Bret Meyer completing a school-record 33 passes or eclipsing 9,000 yards through the air, becoming just the second Big 12 quarterback to do so.
    3. Todd Blythe becoming the all-time ISU reception leader passing Lane Danielson

No, the Rag decided to high-light the Mizzo program by showcasing
    1. Jeremy Maclin having 170 all purpose yards (cover)
    2. Martin Rucker posing in the end zone after scoring a touchdown

Why am I surprised? I am not, just frustrated.

....by the way, all three Hawk pics highlighted Hawk players

Re: Pictures Are Worth A Thousand Words

The "photo gallery" was made up entirely of AP photos. None taken by the DMR. I wonder if the DMR even sent a photog.

I hate to disagree but no it won't - The entire sprots department sleeps in black and gold pj's.

The DMRag is not worthy of being butt wod.....Never has been, most likely never will be, in more ways then just sports. Heck, even in the extremely rare event that I fill my vehicle up with gas at KUM & GO, I refuse to take the free copy.

The Hawks won, and we didn't. I think a picture of ISU celebrating would contradict the subject of the article.

Me too! It's pathetic that the "Red Star" has to resort to giving away their product to keep numbers up.

I make the person behind the counter "de-ring" the copy, if they've already put it in the register.
