Is Brackins just not cut out for the NBA game? I thought for sure he'd get good minutes....

Re: Sixers let Craig Brackins go

In a way that blows but in a way that's good. They thought very little of him and the fact they wouldn't pick up a 1.5 mil option all but confirms that. Hopefully he gets a chance in a system that fits his game. We all know he struggles on defense and with Doug Collins that's a big no-no.

sad, but it was inevitable. Brackins isn't bad, he'll get picked up.

Tough break for CB, hopefully he'll catch on somewhere else. Craig is a liability on defense, he really needs to work on that part of his game or he'll be playing overseas.

ya, he's not. He's sort of a tweener in my opinion. He will be playing the 4 in the rest of his career but can he go against the likes of Paul Millsap, KG, Tim Duncan, Chris Bosh, etc.? Not from a physical standpoint. He could be a 4 that spreads the floor but isn't a good enough outside shooter to do that.

The only thing that I think Royce could do that could save him from a similar situation then what is happening to Craig is that from a physical standpoint, he's ready. Height might be an issue, we'll see how he does in the combine. I can envision him being like a Paul Millsap in the pros, just a better passer and not as good of a rebounder. Though I think he can be a good rebounder at the next level. When Royce is engaged into the game he can be a beast on the boards.

Brackins plays soft, RW goes strong to the hoop. Big difference.

Sad but not the least bit surprised. I hope a team can find a place for him but I just don't see him having a serious role in the NBA.

Re: Sixers let Craig Brackins go

Royce can play defense. He just gets called for fouls everytime in college because he is so strong. That won't be an issue in the pro game. My opinion any way.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.
