    Re: smoker?

I have just a Brinkman smoking grill, not very expensive and easy to use. Not as easy to maintain heat like an electric one, but I like it nonetheless.

    Re: smoker?

What U wanna do with it? I have:

Great Outdoors Smoky Mountain 21" Gas Smoker - product summary - Bing Shopping

Pretty good for BBQ smoking, pork butts, ribs, etc. Fairly easy temp control, nice basic unit. However, I make sausage and bacon, have trouble maintaining temps below 200F.

I have 60 bucks and about 4 hours of time in mine. Smokes better than anything I've ever used before.

    Re: smoker?

I have a Weber and it works good for what I want right now. I'm thinking of getting a pellet smoker though with digital temp control so i don't have to watch and adjust it so much.

    Re: smoker?

My dad made his own with this: Vogelzang Standard Barrel Wood Stove Kit

It takes some time to put together but you get a whole 55 gallon barrel of smoking space above the bottom chamber (and it smokes very, very well). When I get a house I plan on building one myself.

EDIT: I should have included this too: http://www.northlineexpress.com/item...pter-Kit-BK50E

That's what I have had for 4 years, absolutely love it.

BGE is also awesome but its double the price easily.
My parent's have had a Traeger for probably 15 years and its amazing but also very pricey.

I buy a ton of charcoal when you can get two bags on holiday sales and it'll last me thru the year.

Got a Masterbuilt Pro about three weeks ago at Home Depot. So far, very easy to use. Did a pork loin this afternoon that turned out great.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
