    Amana golf course

So some friends and I are playing Amana tomorrow and i'm looking for some insight or suggestions on how to play the course. I usually shoot mid 80s to low 90s depending on the day. I have never played the course so just looking for some helpful tips on ways to play the course. Thanks in advance to any that reply.

Stay in play off the tee and you'll be just fine. It's not that hard if you stay in play. It's really not that hard of a course. Struggle off the tee and you will spend a great deal of time looking for balls and taking penalty strokes. :) The fairways aren't overly narrow but when you miss it's in trees.

Just played it two weeks ago. It is an amazing course!! GPA systems in the carts from your ball to the hole. It is extremely hill, and make sure you keep the ball straight and a little left. Most of the holes are Dog leg left and if you go to far right or left you are in the woods. But if you are consistantly a straight driver and iron hitter you will do just fine lol

If you hit every fairway and every green you should alright. Try and make every putt as well.

I was wondering cause I looked up the course on the internet and found a scorecard and it doesnt appear to a long course. We are going to hit the range early, so I will know then if I will be using driver or my 4 wood for most of the day. Lol

    Re: Amana golf course

played it last Thursday. can get in trouble if not straight off the tee. greens were very fast. we found 30 balls in rough around #17, which is about a 190 par 3. they just mowed it earlier in the day. very nice course.

if you cant hit the driver straight, keep it in the car. Playing the fairways are key. Also, read the hills, a straight down the middle drive may end up rolling into the second or third cut. Play into the hills. The back nine has some larger fairways than the front. Make it through the front nine in good shape and you will shave strokes on the back.

My driver usually isnt to bad. Usually a slight fade but an occasional mishit, but I really wont hesitate to hit my 4 wood off the tee. By the looks of what I have seen off the internet, that would still leave me a mid iron shot or less. I will have to see how things go on the range in the morning.
