How huge is it to have a running game?

I know the game isn't quite over yet, and the odds are pretty slim that ISU wins, but I think the offensive production today is directly attributable to Alexander Robinson running the ball.

That Missouri D is NOT bad. This is the same D that just held Texas Tech to 10 points. Somehow we manage to put up 28 today.

I'm looking forward to more of him, as long as he can hold onto the ball!

Edit: Also, that's our 3rd running back this year with over 100 yards rushing in a game, and all three of them are back next year.

Its great to have a running game. Too bad we don't have a QB that is accurate over 20 yards down field. Its been along time since I we have been able to go down field.

Bellzisu is aka Chris Bellcock. Just so I'm not anonymous anymore.

I was tickled to death with Robinson's 37-yard touchdown run. That's our biggest scoring play all season.

That is huge. Hopefully with a stable of backs, decent receivers and a returning line, that will take some pressure off of a new qb next year.

ARobs has the speed we have not had at RB in quite a while.

Run the ball and stop the run. You do both and you win games.

A 30+ yard run for Robinson and a touchdown. For Stevie Hicks, it took 12 games to get a TD and 2.5 years to get a 30+ yard run.

Re: How huge is it to have a running game?

it will be interesting to see what happens from now to next year to see who starts in the back field

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
