cost of ACC vs Big Xll air travel.

Here is an interesting article from an FSU fan talking about the cost of ACC vs Big Xll air travel. Tells something about the money fans are willing to pay to support their team.

A lot or work for irrelevant data. The schools don't care about fans traveling to conference road games. They'd rather fans stay home and watch on TV. That's where they make their money. They do not care about fan travel.....except to bowl games, because that affects them.

Absolutely true. I would bet a huge chunk of pre-bowl fan travel (outside of rivalry games) are family (dont pay for tickets) and alumni. Student travel would be small for non-driveable games. It's totally irrelevant

Also, a decent chunk of those 'traveling' arent really traveling, its those that happen to live closer to the road venue.

As for student travel, there's such thing as a non-driveable game? While at ISU i did road trips to Austin, TX (in 06) for a game and also to Tallahassee, FL to see some friends and Sandusky, OH to hit up Cedar Point. I had friends who drove down in groups to Tempe for the bowl. As long as you have a group you can rotate drivers and get just about anywhere. Even if you need to stop you do the student thing and cram the whole group into a $30 a night motel 6 and get on going the next day.

But yeah, the numbers are small either way. Those that are determined enough to do it will find a way, and those that arent probably wouldntve gone anyways.

False, they would rather they travel and also pay for cable subscription that doesn't matter if they watch.
