    Minnesota Trip

I am going up to Minnesota with a few buddies in June. We are leaving on a Monday and will be back by Wednesday night. I was just hoping for a few more ideas, only one of us five is 21 so that troughs out bars. We know we are going to the Mall of America, Twins game, Casino. Any other ideas you guys could throw out there? We were thinking Mall of America and a casino on Monday, then the twins game on Tuesday but it starts at 7pm. We will probably sleep in tell noon on Tuesday but that leaves us 7 hours. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Sorry but Minnesota is exactly like Iowa until you get north of the twin cities. You don't understand Minnesota until you get 100 miles south of the border of Canada. My family has gone to the northern woods for 4 generations and i guarantee you will enjoy yourself if you like the outdoors.

It's exactly like the Nike store by Jordan Creek Mall, but 3 hours north!

Do some research online for other stuff. You're doing what a 16-yr old would do, or something Hawkeyes fans do that makes them the scourge of Minnesota....

Agree with the other poster. If you had a couple more days drive north of St cloud/Brainard to see some beautiful lakes and terrain

I completely disagree. Tons of stuff to do in MPLS if you are willing to think outside the box. Check out the Guthrie Theatre (mainly for the endless bridge and other views, as well as the Stone Arch Bridge). Rent Nice Ride bikes and check out the bike trails. Go to Uptown/Lynlake. Check out Minnehaha Falls. Eat at good restaurants. Plenty of things to do and music to see if you do a little research!

What type of activities are you guys into other than Twinkies games?

    Re: Minnesota Trip

While on the topic of Minnesota, does anyone have suggestions for a resort type place North of the Twin Cities that would offer golf, swimming pool for lounging, decent nearby shopping, etc.

A Google search turned up a couple of places that appear to be nice, Arrowhead in Alexandria and Grandview Lodge near Brainerd.

    Thanks.
