    Ever going to rain again?

In Ankeny. Thought for sure we'd get some rain out of this system. Nothing. Lawn is already starting to look like it's mid-July. Crazy weather!

No kidding. My yard is all crispy and brown, everyone in the hood is watering this weekend. Forecast for Ames doesn't look promising either.

This feels exactly like last July and August. Two severe storms yesterday and both slide northeast of central Iowa.

What really drives me crazy is that after predicting a warm, dry week, the forecasters actually changed their forecast Wednesday(?) morning predicting storms for that day. And of course none came.

Just wash and wax the car - works every time for producing rain

We have had a dump-fest in the past week here in Minneapolis. I'll ask the big guy to shift some to our Iowa brethren.

My lawn looks nice and green. Thank you, sprinkler system.

By the way, last night's severe weather show was pretty cool....except for the three separate hailstorms.

Re: Ever going to rain again?

Need rain in central Iowa, my lawn is still nice and green and I have not watered it at all, but I am tired of watering my garden. Bring us some rain, but not to much.

1.4 inches of rain with 70 mph winds last night, came down very very fast, in Fremont.

Re: Ever going to rain again?

It would definitely be nice to get some rain in this area again. I've got a new place and the sod seems to have rooted, but having to water it this much to keep it alive is getting old.
