    Close to a Committment?

Kraig Bates is on the CR front page. Anyone know much about this guy?

Hopefully none of his teammates have been paid.

    Re: Close to a Committment?

Happen to notice we have a committment from J. Edwards #46 on that list and are in the running for Marrongelli at #26.....

If we can get 3 of the top 100 lineman out of texas and then add in Tuftee and maybe Mack, that would be a hell of a group of line recruits....

Well, if they are the top OLmen in texas, I'll guess they are the top OLmen in the country.

    Re: Close to a Committment?

If coach mack was still here it'd be, "top 100 lineman" out of Iowa and not Texas. I like how we are going after Texas and Florida players. Build good relationships with highschools down there will be a plus for future recruiting.

Im excited for next season but I think alot of that has to do with the fact that, no matter what the recruiting class, it can't be worse than this season.

I believe we should have a legit chance at grabbing him away from Okie St., Utep, & Houston...just need to preach the positives of Ames, IA, Big 12 ball, and where our program is headed to this kid.

If ISU was looking for the guy to start next year you would be right. However, at 6'5" he has the frame to put on 50 pounds and be a Big 12 lineman.
