So, it looks like John Walters' new gig is with cyclones.tv; this is the first I've heard of cyclones.tv. I'm watching the video below now, but maybe others know more than me about this...is cyclones.tv just a re-branding of Clone Zone?

Introduction to cyclones.tv, Iowa State's New Digital Network - Cyclones.com

No it is an online only platform. It is CloneZone with a new name, content with JW, and probably an improved interface.

There was a video on cyclones.com with jw and Pollard talking about it awhile ago. Might be able to find it with a Google search.

    Re: cyclones.tv

Recieved a mailing this week. $80 per year. I have had Clone Zone audio only and really liked it this year... Someone convince me I should spring for the yearly subscription.

"I think that people are responding to someone standing up and saying this is what we want to do and let's not be afraid to go for it,'' Pollard said. "I think Iowa State has a very conservative, modest background. We never pound our chest and say `Let's do it.' It's OK to set a goal. You can't do it if you don't say what you want to do. You should be proud of it.''

    It supports the athletic department.

1 football game + non-conference basketball. It's been well worth it for me. The HD video is very nice. Since the price isn't going up and we'll get new content with John Walters it's an easy decision for me in TX.

Olympic sports coverage is nice too.

This too. Tier 3 rights are worth what we are willing to pay. An easy $80 donation for my family.

    Re: cyclones.tv

I'm most likely going to buy it. Supports the athletic department and I'll get to see some games that I might not be close enough to Ames to watch in person.

So frickin jealous of what they have in Ames. It's truly amazing what Fred has done coming in with 0 coaching experience.

    I'll be getting this.

Will they just roll over CloneZone memberships, or do I actually have to click buttons with my mouse?

Either way, too good to pass up.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

They will do all the work for current memberships.

Current Clone Zone subscribers will automatically be transferred to cyclones.tv subscriptions, with existing rates and expiration dates remaining the same.

    Just noticed this:

Signup at a 2012 Tailgate Tour stop or sign up online before Sept. 1 and receive 25 percent off the full price of an annual subscription ($59.95).
cyclones.tv Info Page - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

    Great deal.
