Watching the way the defense played that game, it amazes me how well they have played with almost no semblance of a pass rush from the front four year after year. About the only time the DL was disruptive in that game was when they got a paw on a Weeden pass. Good thing that ISU has the linebackers back this year because most of the best from the defensive backfield has graduated.
One of these years, I look forward to a disruptive defensive line. Maybe this will be the year ISU gets that back, but I'll be surprised if it is.
I am so thankful that I was there to witness that game! I know there hasn't been anything like it in Cyclone history and will be hard to match in the future. But if it is matched, I hope I'm there, too!
I'll go out on a limb here and say that "pressure may affect QB's accuracy" is probably the no **** statement of the century.
Yeah, didn't read the article but every QB in the history of the game is negatively affected by pressure. Baqck in the 90's my Eagles were not good and the Cowboys ruled the NFL but the Eagles always beat the Cowboys. Why? Because they knocked Aikman on his *** in the first qurter and got him rattled. The greatest QBs of all time don't like getting hit.
