Verizon home internet coming to metro

From a lot of what I've heard and read, it's a pretty good service.

Ha, yeah, that was me too. I couldn't believe that Fios would actual roll out in central Iowa. Turned out, my initial hunch was correct.

60 bucks, no faster than mediacom, and a 10gb cap. What's the point? I could see it making sense for rural users that might not have the option of cable, but LTE isnt in those areas yet so its pretty much just covers areas with much better options. Better not be a user of netflix\youtube or you'll blow through that 10gb cap very quickly

Here's hoping google fiber makes its way north from KC out to des moines.

Re: Verizon home internet coming to metro

My parents just got fiber to their house in North Liberty through Southslope. 20 down / 5 up for less than I pay for my slow DSL. Apparently they want to start offering TV over it eventually.
