I truly believe tanning beds should be outlawed.

anyway, sounds like a non-story after you actually read it. but that lady is lookin' ROUGH for 44 years old.

Saw this on the telebision this morning. I assumed it was grandma and the "mother" was a typo. You don't even need to read the story to know there's something wrong here. She looks like the mother of an Oompa Loompa

Saw this on the Today show, ick.

Not a fan of tanning, but I tanned before I went on my trip to the Dominican Republic and it helped me not to get burnt while there.

I have heard that a base tan is roughly equivalent to an SPF of 5, so it won't really protect someone from burning or skin cancer.

we don't need the government controlling anymore of our lives, so i don't think they should be outlawed, but if you go to a tanning booth regularly, its called population control.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

sunscreen (contrary to popular belief) also works. i went straight from illinois to costa rica and was fine surfing in the sun with some high octane sunscreen. problem is, people generally think spf 3 will suffice.

up the spf and reapply every so often, you will still get a tan.

On the way to becoming population control it will be skin cancer, which is a boatload of healthcare costs, which raises insurance rates for everybody! Yay!!!

yeah, i was half joking half serious with that. my only real problem is youths see mom's doing it and also become addicted to tanning (if that is possible) and then end up looking 70 when 40 and dying at 50 from skin cancer. but whatever i guess. as you said "population control".
