    Single Game Bears Tickets Question

I need some advice. I'm going to my first Chicago Bears game, which also happens to be my first pro football game ever, this fall on September 23rd against the St. Louis Rams. My plan has been to try and buy our tickets online the first day the tickets are sold to the general public in late July/early Aug. For anyone with experience, how hard is it to do this, or is this even my best strategy? I'm up for suggestions. My goal is to buy some tickets around the $110-$115 face value range either in the lower balcony or in the endzone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Single Game Bears Tickets Question

endzone in soldier is alot better than endzone in a couple of the other stadiums i've been to

but yeah expect 100-120ish for what youre looking for - shouldn't be too hard to grab those on the first day

If I'm torn between row 1-15 balcony seats for $105 or 100 level end zone tickets for $121, what should I go with?

Re: Single Game Bears Tickets Question

personally, I'd go with a lower row endzone if those are you 2 options - but either way

can't go wrong at soldier :)

tickets i buy from a buddy are season tickets of front row of the 2nd tier and i love it tho

Make sure to jump online before it opens and then keep hitting refresh. Know what section of tickets you want to buy and select them right away. If you screw around, be prepared to buy them on StubHub.

So you are telling me that all the single game tickets for the Bears games go instantaneously then? Or are you just saying that certain sections go instantaneously?

I also should state that if anyone on here happens to have season tickets and would sell me a few tickets, I might be up for that too.

Well, with my particualar game, which is against St. Louis for their second home game of the season, what would be your best guess? Do you think it will be an instant seller or not? Are all the home games even sold out always?

you won't need to sit there refreshing every 5 seconds, but the sections you're looking at will definitely be quick sellers.

I'd try to make sure you're checking out ticketmaster within a couple hours of tickets opening

By the way, thanks to everyone who has posted so far. Nothing like being overly antsy and jumping on face value tickets for a game you know nothing about, only to find that it doesn't even sell out and you can scalp better tickets for half the price when you get there. Or, on the flip side, you just wait it out figuring that the game won't sell out and you'll easily be able to grab cheap tickets when you get there, only to find out that it is a packed house and tickets are going for twice their value. I know it is impossible to fully anticipate everything, but some good advice goes a long ways in instances like these. With the Bears, I imagine that preseason expectations are similar to last year's preseason expectations, so therefore, I'm guessing ticket demand should be somewhat similar I'd think.

Any more suggestions too would be welcome.

I sat in the 55th row of the endzone at soldier and was closer to the field than my seats at Jack Trice

Re: Single Game Bears Tickets Question

Not sure about now, but 7-8 years ago tickets were going for about double face value on ebay later in the season and sold very quickly from the box office from what I remember. The Bears are a fairly hot ticket even when they aren't doing awesome. You can scour later and maybe find a decent price, but like others have said, I would jump on them as quick as possible. I definitely don't think you will find them below face anytime unless you get really lucky.

Thanks, gleaming from everyone's advice, I think I'll probably just be ready to go online right when they get released at face value. I don't have a problem paying face value if that is what it calls for. I just hope that even if I do that, I can find some tickets in the sections I'd like. Thanks again everyone.

Re: Single Game Bears Tickets Question

I went to the Chargers @ Bears game back in November. I sat in section 155, row 1. Only two seats in the row, and it was very cramped, but it was worth it!

Here's a picture I took from my seat:

Here are some pictures I took during the game:
