There was a rumor that the local chinese place where I live would pay for racoon carcasses if you brought it to them. Probably not true, but funny. I ate there anyways.

On a side note, the dogs that were saved are probably just going to be put down in a shelter now. What else are they going to do with 500 mutts? The adoption rate for animals is very low.

    Re: 500 Dogs Saved

Not cool that it was apparently stolen dogs - rustling is never okay. However, I guess I am not horribly hung up on eating this meat (beef, pork, chicken, turkey, duck, lamb, goat, bison, elk, venison, emu, rabbit, etc. - not to mention just about every seafood imaginable) but not this meat. I am generally up for trying new foods whether they be plant or animal.

Of course I would draw the line at a certain naked ape.

When I was in the Navy, my Philippino CPO told me how they used to eat dogs all the time. Even drink their blood. Seems pretty gory, but depends on where you're from I guess. He also said the red-colored ones were most prized.

I agree; is it any less disgusting domesticating dogs to eat than pig and cow?

I enjoy a good steak; but I don't understand why it would bother me more if I ate a dog.

Didn't forget it. I was about to type it because I have eaten squirrel once, but I decided you probably got the picture. I've never eaten possum. I hear it is pretty damned greasy.
