    Watching the NFL Draft

It looks to me like the draft is only being broadcast this year on the NFL Network and on NFL.com. Is this correct? Will it be free to watch on NFL.com?

No, it will be on ESPN as well. But, in my opinion, the NFL network is the far better place to watch it. Mike Mayock is every bit as knowledgeable as Kiper or McShay, and you don't have to deal with the jackassery that is Chris Berman and the rest of the ESPN personalities.

I love watchin the draft, vut it is one of the few sports related things that my wife can't stand to watch. It bugs the crap out of her that I flip back and forth to it every year.

Same at our house. My wife has accepted it now. I'm almost ashamed to say it, but it's one of my favorite sporting events of the year. I look forward to it for months. I'm not lying when I say I will most likely watch every minute of it, either live or via DVR.

I'm more of a wait and check out who went where at the end of the day type guy. First round I might watch part of I suppose, after that not much if any.

I really like the suspense in between picks. Especially if my favorite teams are on the clock. You have to take into account who's already been picked, who the best available player is, and what your team needs the most.

I just think it's really interesting to see what directions each team chooses to go in. Also, there are always head scratcher picks and reaches for need.

    Interesting stuff.

The Steelers need a few different positions so I am interested to see which way they go and who's avalable when they get there.

    Re: Watching the NFL Draft

I love watching the draft, but like others am totally fed up with ESPN's ridiculous coverage. Count me into the group that will be tuning into the NFL network.

My wife actually doesn't mind checking out the draft since she is a pretty big college football fan but man was she ****** when I DVRed 15 hours of the combine

    Re: Watching the NFL Draft

I'm still wondering if anyone knows if it will be free to watch live on NFL.com. Their website talks about watching the whole thing on there streaming live. However, it doesn't say whether it will be free or require some type of subscription.

    Re: Watching the NFL Draft

I agree it is one of my favorite sports related things to watch and Mayock has more knowledge in his little finger than Kiper and McShay combined.

That said I will still flip back and forth between NFL network and ESPN.

Oh, yeah that's free. No subscription required. They did that last year as well. It's a little delayed if I recall, but still good if you can't be near a tv.
