    Royal Futility

KC Royals are on a 10-game losing streak and STILL the only MLB team to not have a home win.

I understand they're the youngest team in Baseball this year...I understand the season is still in its infancy...but after how they looked in spring training, i'm pretty sure even this wasn't expected. I hope they pick it up soon. Your thoughts...

We are worst than the Cubs.....we lack pitching depth with our starters and Gordon hitting .190 and Hosmer at .183 doesn't help much either. I still like the direction of the club in the years to come though.

    Re: Royal Futility

they will pull out of it, and fight to get to .500 by the end of the year and get third in the division. Lots of pressure on these guys this year, and its been a bad start, but there are 162 games in season.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Can't believe the season has started out like this. And after taking 2 of 3 against the Angels. I think everyone is pressing a little too much right now.

THey have been touting this since what, 2005? I am not a Royals fan I have just heard a lot on 810 WHB over the years. This was supposed to be the year for a playoff run and then next year was a run at the division.

Baseball is way messed up, they need to get to an NFL model quickly. Minnesota, KC, Seattle and the like will not survive long term the ways things are going right now.

    Re: Royal Futility

Ned Yost overthinks everything and right now he's guessing wrong. When he shifts the infield, the ball is hit where the would have been...when he call for a hit and run, they hit a line drive for a triple play, etc. Just a combination of a lot of dumb play and bad luck!

they have had enough top draft picks in the last ten years they should be better... they just never get any better. every once in awhile they get a good player, then they let them walk. not to mention kaufmans a dump... they need some serious changes in kc

Wrigley is a dump, loveable but a dump. Gordon has a major hole in his swing and all the pitchers know about it. Hopefully they can pull out of this.

Kaufman was average at worst, never a dump. It is much nicer since the 2008-2009 renovations. It is probably the best value in the MLB at this point with weekday tickets on stub hub in the $1-3 range and parking only $10.

    Re: Royal Futility

    1) Cardinals didn't suck until July last year, hit stride again at Labor Day
    2) Kauffman is a beautiful stadium
    3) Royals are very young. 2014 is their year (if they keep this roster in place)
