Re: Royce White or John Shurna

RW needs to can his twitter account. That would solve a lot of problems. Great Cyclone, but I'll bet he never sees a minute in the NBA. He blew that opportunity.

Just looked at his message of the day..I'm pretty sure if anyone walked up and "wished me positivity heading into the holiday weekend", I would be very tempted to give that person the finger.

Not sure why the OP would come back and eat crow. How can one win when they both are flops. One might have not made the draft, but the other one has been a total embarressment since he was drafted so only slightly better.

RW won't ever see a minute in the NBA. You can be sure of that. He ruined that chance a long time ago.

The Rockets hate him, and no other team in their right mind would want to get near him.

Sad story, but in the end, I'm not so sure RW was even all that interested in basketball.

If it weren't for his Twitter account he'd be 100% irrelevant.

Re: Royce White or John Shurna

Shurna likely scored more points in professional basketball than Royce ever will.

Re: Royce White or John Shurna

When Shurna gets cut from a team next year, at least he'll go into the GM's office and get a handshake & be told "You busted your ***, but we can't keep you. I'm sorry."

Royce? He'll find out about getting cut on...........twitter.

    Advantage: Shurna.

Who says he lost? Royce has yet to see an NBA minute.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

who the heck is advising him? That person needs fired. It's amazing how quickly he threw away a potential fortune. Without ever playing a game. I think that he may actually be crazy and not have just anxiety issues. He seems to think that he's on some national crusade, yet the NBA should be paying him to do it. For what? Even the biggest draft busts have scored more than him while not dragging their franchises through the mud.

Honestly, it makes me even more impressed with FH that he was able to keep that guy focused and in line. Seems like an impossible task.

no one is advising him! This is who he is! He is standing up for what he believes in. Most people, including myself would choose a million dollar career in the nba over standing up for what they feel is right. I realize that we are all disappointed in the path that his basketball career is going down, but for people who have never experienced anxiety issues it's difficult to understand what he is actually going through. Your "JUST anxiety issues" comment shows your limited knowledge on the subject.

So if Royce doesn't play in the NBA, does he have a fallback plan? I'm not sure Shurna will do, but with an NU degree and his name recognition among the alumni base, I suspect he'll land pretty comfortably. If the young man has anxiety or other issues, higher stress and higher paying jobs like banking or consulting seem like they may be out of reach for him.

Re: Royce White or John Shurna

Big news - I just heard that Royce White was traded. I'm sure no one would have taken him if they didn't expect him to play.
