    Physical CD

I just ordered my first physical CD in about 10 years. When and what was the last CD you bought?

Btw-the reason I ordered the cd was because it was $9 and free 2day shipping using amazon prime or $10 for the download. Can't wait to get the new Jack White cd.

CD ROM so I can easily reload the Microsoft software I bought when it invariably crashes some day.

Does it have a DVD drive? Most will play CD's too.

    It is a good CD...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

Yes, i know this, but nope, no drive whatsoever. Wanted a thin and light laptop, and a cd\dvd drive is dead weight.

    Re: Physical CD

I have not owned an actual CD since -- guessing -- 2003-2004 or thereabouts. And I used to have over a thousand of them. Ripped them onto my computer and got rid of every single one of them.

I used to burn home movies onto DVD. I've stopped doing that as well since Windows 7 can stream video to every TV in my house.

Still have quite a few DVDs/blurays, however.

We are the Tide by Blind Pilot last summer. I'll buy cd's to support up and coming bands that I like.

    Re: Physical CD

I don't buy music on iTunes, if I download music it's for free, occasionally I'll like an album enough to go buy it too though. Last one was Foo Fighters recent album, before that I think The White Stripes, also got the DVD for that one.

    Re: Physical CD

I don't buy a lot of music, but when I do, I still buy it on CD. If you look around, it's usually cheaper than an itunes download and I've always had this thing with liking to have a physical back up.
