There is NO WAY this can happen. If you eliminate kickoffs, you eliminate onside kicks, and how do you compensate for that when a team is down 7 points with under 2 minutes to play in what would have been an onside kickoff situation?
I'm saying no, but if safety is the NFL's main concern I can see them doing it. However, I don't think anyone believes that the NFL cares more about player safety than money.
I think the NFL cares about player safety, but only as far as their legal liability extends. If there were no lawsuits from former players, I highly doubt you would be seeing as many changes made in the name of safety.

Giants owner said it was a future possibility. Probably won't happen, but I was watching Sports Center and thought it was dumb. Wanted to know what other people thought as well. I guess there are a lot of people that feel the same way.
