Re: Albert Gary officially enters plea deal

I can't imagine why anyone would plead guilty to 2 felonies instead of one "larger" felony.

Part of the plea deal is no jail time maybe?

He served a 3 game suspension last season steaming back to this incident. My guess would be that if CPR hands out any more punishment, it will be dismissal from team.

I agree with this. He either plays from Day 1 or he is gone.

My guess is he plays from Day 1.

Re: Albert Gary officially enters plea deal

I would have taken a misdemeanor with moderate jail time, rather than 2 felonies with no jail time.

I guess the whole intention was to avoid jail completely and be on the field come Game number 1. Now I am more convinced that the consequences at ISU of each of his legal options was already discussed with ISU administration prior to his deciding on this plea.

Being convicted of 2 felonies will have massive consequences throughout his life searching for jobs, housing etc.

Was his original charge a misdemeanor? I thought it was felony robbery.

Who cares what they think? I would find it hilarious if they make a big deal about it as it only further proves their obsession with everything ISU related after their fanbase has preached for years that they don't pay attention to ISU at all.

Re: Albert Gary officially enters plea deal

No jail time and probation. Accommodations made so he can continue his education at ISU. It is a negotiated deal and ISU has agreed to let him continue. I am sure CPR has agreed to keep him on the team but no more chances after this and probably even more requirements. Otherwise, I don't see him accepting this deal if he was not going to be allowed to continue at ISU and be on the team.
