    Random Technology/Camera Question

If I accidentally deleted photos off of a sandisk memory card, is there any possible way to retrieve these?

They are important photos for work, so I messed up pretty bad deleting them.

I have seen sites like diskdoctor and wondershare.com, do these actually work?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.

    Re: Random Technology/Camera Question

As long as you just deleted the files (haven't formatted or saved other stuff to the card) they should be recoverable. I've never had to do it personally, but have worked with some FAT file system stuff at my engineering job. I think one of the tools we use for disk diagnostics has undelete functionality... give me a sec

Try this: Briggs Softworks: Directory Snoop - File Recovery and Wiping Software for Windows

You'll have to read the directions to figure out how to recover the files, but I'm pretty sure the free trial is fully functional.

Nope, it works. When a file is deleted, its not actually erased. The system just marks it as available for use. If you run an undelete before many more files are written, the files are almost always still there.

I knew this. Didn't know why or the technical terms for it, but definately knew that just because it is "deleted" doesn't mean it really is deleted.

Thanks again, I'll let you guys know how this works out. Might not get to it today though.

Sort of stating the obvious here, but don't take any new pictures using that card until you have recovered the deleted ones.
