Big 12 Players Leaving..Look at Next season.

Tenative list. Alot of firepower will be leaving this year. Good chance we can finish in the top 4 again. Baylor & KU should reload, depending on Baylor's NCAA penalties. OU and OSU could be sleepers to jump in the top half. ISU & WVU lose several of their top scorers and will have alot of unknowns. KSU new coach. Texas should be decent. Tech & TCU will be bad.

Would like to hear people's predictions on next year's standings/analysis.

"Now it's 100 percent I'm staying here. I'm going to be here next year. I believe we can win next year because of the talent. Everybody is coming back but Keiton (Page), so the experience and the talent are going to be there."

Don't think so. I believe Martin leaving kept Spradling from leaving.

Re: Big 12 Players Leaving..Look at Next season.

Will someone please explain this quote by Andy Katz to me

"Zeller and Watford may make a decision by the NCAA's early-entry deadline of Tuesday April 10, or they could wait until the only date that really matters: the NBA's deadline of April 29."

My understanding before i read this was that college players had until April 10th to announce if they are declaring for the draft. If they don't declare by then they can't return to college for the 2012-2013 season. So if I am correct with my understanding why in Andy Katz's mind is April 29 the only date that really matters?

Re: Big 12 Players Leaving..Look at Next season.

They can enter early on April 10 or wait until the 29th. The deadline for entry was much longer than the 29th in previous years. Basically 19 days to "test the waters" without an agent. (I think this is correct)

I thought that the whole point of moving the declaration date to April was so that the coaches could start recruiting players for the entire signing period to replace the players that declared for the draft. Thats why the entry date is April 10th and the signing period starts on April 11th.

The only thing that makes sense for the April 29th date is that players that don't plan on returning to college can wait until the 29th to declare. This would give players that might want to go across seas to play a little more time to see where they stand, but if they wait til April 29th returning to college is not an option.

    Kansas
    Baylor
    Texas
    Iowa State
    Kansas State
    West Virginia
    Oklahoma State
    Oklahoma
    TCU
    Texas Tech

    4-7 is pretty interchangeable.
