    Journey

Apparently Journey won out ... because that's what played during the game.

Not that I really care, but wouldn't it have been nice if we ever heard the "don't stop, believ'n..." part? Who knew that song's intro was so damn long? It played forever and never got to the decent part. Definately a no-go for next time.

I was not a big fan of Sweet Caroline, but so far choosing something different has been a rough road.

Yeah, they should have just started half way in so we could here the don't stop believin part.

I gotta admit, that has become one of my favorite songs after I heard it about 200 times rewatching the end of the sopranos to try and figure out what really happend.

    Re: Journey

I thought the music selection has improved quite a bit. Journey wasnt bad. Youre right that it has too long of an intro. If they could cut it to play at the important part, that would be awesome.

    Re: Journey

Here's an idea. Play the song. Don't draw out attention to the north end zone for a presentation. Then start playing the song. Then, once the song has started, lets turn it down so that we can tell everyone to go online and vote. Play the song and then, after the song is done and the next play has been run, tell people to go online and vote.

There are sooooooo many problems with the audio/video aspect of the game that I don't want to start. There are a lot of times I think they don't know what they're doing.

How about the episode of Family Guy? Everybody stops what they're doing when they hear Peter and the gang singing it.

Journey and Starship have songs that people make fun of, but we all know the words and sing it whenever they are on. Its a love-hate relationship. =)

How about we go with some "Wild Thing" by 80's Rock Legends for the next one?

I thought the music was much improved but totally disappointed they played the intro.

Actually, I made a comment that I thought I was in high school again. Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Guns 'N Roses, AC/DC etc. People laugh at me, but that's the music that I grew up on.

Booya...forgot about Starship...how about we go with "Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now"? Good tune, Lyrics are fitting if we're winning or determined to win

    Re: Journey

Ditto to all your comments about the music and video board. It has improved, but could still be a lot better. It just seems like the athetic department comes up with ideas, and then they don't really think about presentation. They need to think things through a little more; there needs to be a devil's advocate in the room questioning things first....not after the fact.

Yep. Think someone was watching the Rutgers game the other night?

    Re: Journey

The next poll should be restricted to just songs within the last 10 years or something just so we don't have such a crappy selection. I thought Sweet Caroline was bad but neither song chosen so far has been much better. I want to hear something that will either get the crowd pumped up or at least something upbeat enough to get the crowd out of their seats and participating. The band has been playing Apache and the students really seem to get into that at times but for some reason it was the least picked choice when it was on the poll.

If they could find a radio version of the Baby Bash Cyclone song that would be cool.
