    St. Louis and Moline Questions

    Need a little advice.

The company I am working for is having meetings this summer in either St Louis or Moline.

I need some advice for fun things to do in each city. We are an agricultural company, so any tours along that line would be welcome too.

If we go to Moline, we will look at touring John Deere. Anything else to do in the QC area?

And in STL the Cards are out of town when we are having the meetings. Any tours or other fun ideas you guys have?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: Also would like to clarify, we are looking for something that would fill up an afternoon.

If your looking at baseball stuff there are the Quad City Riverbandits (Davenport I believe), Clinton Lumberkings, and the Burlington Bees in the minors around there.

And the River Bandits have one of the cooler logos in Minor League Baseball

I like the River Bandits logo but prefer the Clinton Lumberkings. At least you got rid of the Godforsaken "Swing."

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjjZGyYcH9E]Much rejoicing - YouTube[/ame]

"The Swing of the Quad Cities" is a prime example of what happens when you let an out-of-touch marketing group make identity decisions for your franchise. Even worse was nobody in the Quad Cities wanted to lose the River Bandits identity and abhorred the the idea of and the existence of the Swing.

    ...slow clap...

    Go Kings!

And the Swing was the stupidest thing ever. I had no idea what was going on when I came home and tried reading a newspaper article about the team. Confused the bejesus out of me.

Isn't the Bowling Hall of Fame in the vicinity of Busch Stadium?

With the QCA, you could hit up the casinos.

Yep. Forgot about the Bowling HoF. At one time also housed the Cardinals HoF but I believe that has been moved...not sure where? Maybe it's still there?

Bowling hof is no longer in st louis. Somehow the city plows ahead without it.

Moline is a dump and shouldn't even be considered.

Why do you say that, 2forISU? Have you ever visited the Quad Cities? Perhaps you're un-informed and your opinion shouldn't be considered.
