    Jereimah Schwartz

I watched his video tonight, The guy has moves and breaks tackles. He won't go down on shoe string tackles. He looks like a great power back. He is bigger than Ryan Kock and has more speed and skill. He will be able to get that half yard on 4th down.

I must say, I am surprised we got him when you look at the other teams than were recruiting him. JJ and JS will be a great backfield.

Having JS and Scales behind him(hoping Jason stays healthy) will be brutal for defenses. Watching Jason this season you can tell he bulked up and takes it to defenders, having this kid in front of him...man.

On a side note, what happened to the state champ heavyweight wrestler that was supposed to be our FB this year, I've only seen Catlett play the position

Mansfield broke his ankle. Expect him to start next year and be a beast. He will only be a sophomore. I wouldn't expect to see a lot of JS for a few years.

    Re: Jereimah Schwartz

It will be nice to have a guy that can get you 2 yards at will, like the Kockster. He also seems to have some moves in the open field and decent hands so he is not limited to being only a short yardage back. With him and Mansfield, who is currently hurt and out for the year at fullback, we should be able to move Catlett back to TE to take over those duties next fall.

By JS are you talking about Jeremiah?

How's Schwartz's hands? I'd like to see some pass plays going to the FB. Defenses don't always account for the FB in coverage.

Yes. I think JS will be good but I really think that Mansfield is the real deal.

    Re: Jereimah Schwartz

In the video, there were several passes where he went out to the side and caught the ball. Not sure that play works with the speed of D1 linebackers and corners. Not sure what division he plays in.

I'd like to see Jeremiah get a year under Sheppard, then hit the field as a redshirt frosh.

I was thinking more along the dump-off and shovel type passes, along using a FB like a slot or tight end type routes out of the backfield. No huge gainer type plays, just a couple more dink and dunk options.

Did I read correctly that he's 248? Hopefully he would build him down, rather than up, or we have a short o-lineman on our hands.

    Re: Jereimah Schwartz

He has to be more of a FB than a RB, right? 248 lbs, runs a 5.15 40. Definitely a bruiser though.

    Re: Jereimah Schwartz

Recent story saying he's playing at 230 and expects to report at 220. also said at a recent combine his 40 time was 4.6 and he expects that to fall as he sheds some weight. He's not being brought in as a FB but as a RB.....

    Re: Jereimah Schwartz

Well maybe we got a Duckett like player on our hands. He plays against some pretty good competition in Orlando, Florida. He's teammates with Michael Brewster 5* Ohio St center commit.

    Re: Jereimah Schwartz

OMFG!!! I am SO happy we got this guy, he's another guy I've been staying up on for awhile and he is just studly. I pray to god we use him like we used Ryan Kock during the last stretch of '06 because this is a guy who needs to get touches in the running game. I am really excited for Chizik's recruiting class. Sounds like this guy was persuaded by how well we played against Oklahoma. Our backfield options for next year are lookin better and better.
