Once the "we've got a new stadium" effect wears off, it will soon be a neat stadium pulling in the usual 3,000 fans per game.

There was a wide-angle picture on the Internet last year of a game that had less than 400 attendance

I think they will get decent crowds. They are closer to where people live, the last stadium was in the middle of nowhere. Plus, you ALWAYS know they will play. In the summer, south florida has a 95% chance of rain, you just don't know how long it will last and how hard it will come. Why drive an hour and a half to a game that you don't know will actually get played?

Heard a piece on NPR about the new stadium. They built it further south also in hopes of involving the Latino/Hispanic community more. This along with signing a well known Hispanic free agent, they are hoping brings the fans around more often.

Didn't they play at the Dolphins' stadium? Isn't that right in the middle of Miami?

Why the hell did the Dolphins have dirt on their field then?

    Also, WIKIPEDIA LIED TO ME!

It was the home to the Florida Marlins baseball team from 1993-2011.

The Marlins did indeed play in Dolphins Stadium but that stadium is located nowhere near downtown Miami.

Oh I see, it wasn't "Nope" to Sun Life Stadium it was "Nope" to that being central to Miami.

Classic mix up! Thanks for the clarification.
