    Grass Type?

Is there an easy way to tell what type of grass you have in your lawn? I have a few dead patches along the sides of my house that I would like to fill in. I'd like to use the same type of grass that I already have in the rest of my yard.

My house was built 4 years ago, so I tried calling the company that put in the sod but they are out of business (of course). I'm guessing it's Kentucky Bluegrass, but I really have no idea. Is there an easy way to tell what you have?

    Re: Grass Type?

It seems like most yards are a rye/bluegrass mix. Mine also has fescue in it which has a broader leaf and grows much faster at this time of year.
