    Set of golf clubs

I need to get some newer clubs, and don't really know where to look. Ideally, I would like to spend under $150 (I'm not needing top of the line clubs and don't expect it at this price). What is a good site/store to look at? Thanks in advance

    Re: Set of golf clubs

I'd check craigslist, that's where I picked up a set a few weeks ago.

Obviously there are some wackos on there, but golf clubs tend to be sold by a higher class seller. (GENERALLY speaking)

I would also go this rout. It also never hurts to talk to any super avid golf friends you may have as they might know of somthing retireing some clubs to the next latest and greatest thing.

A quality set of clubs will last you 10 years easy.

For a whole set that is rough. Try 2ndswinggolf.com. Some people still play Ping eye2's and love them even though they are older. Might try some garage sales as well.

Speaking of garage sales, I love those freakin things!

Even if I come home with crap I don't at all need, it's still worth the $10.50 I spent for my carload of junk!

    Re: Set of golf clubs

yeah, i wouldn't buy off ebay. 95% of all golf equipment is fake.

rockbottomgolf.com always has some great deals. Not sure the quality you are going for, but they've got some Adam's Golf and Nicklaus Golf iron sets for fairly cheap.

Yea, 150 bucks is really cheap for a whole set. Walmart is higher than that.

I recently did this. I was just buying irons because my putter and woods work well for me (might update to a new driver soon).

I'm guessing you will do fine with some of the websites listed but I felt more comfortable going to a brick and mortar. Golf Galaxy in West Des Moines is where I went. You can swing them in the simulator so you know what you're getting.

Again, kind of like getting a used car from a dealership, probably a little more expensive but I liked being able to swing them before I bought them.
