    I would assume those big 12 games would just be the tier 2 contract we signed with fox (a news corp company) last year. Increased visibility is always a plus though, as opposed to the regional FSNs

    Maybe the Iowa-ISU game might be seen nationally next year. Maybe soccer will make a comeback in time for the Olympics.

    Not likely. The reason sports is exploding in value is the ever increasing use of online and time shifted (tivo\dvr) viewing. These types of viewing are much less valuable to advertisers than sports, that are usually watched live and thus their ads get watched live. Unless that trend changes (unlikely) sports programming will continue to increase in value.

    No, which is part of the reason why the B12 is in the process of getting their Tier 1 FB deal extended with ESPN 3 years prior to its expiration.

    Isn't NBC looking to get a sports channel up and running in the near future as well? The Big 12 rights could be coming up at just the right time.

    Also, I don't think it's a bubble. People will always want to watch sports live and that will drive up prices.

    Yeah this would be awesome if Iowa State Tier 2 games would be on every TV set in the country that has the channel. Definite improvement over regional FSN networks. I'm all for another national sports network, especially one that will have college football/basketball
