*** Semi-Official Pet Peeves about Coworkers at Work ***

feel like we need a thread for today..... what are your pet peeves about things coworkers do?

my biggest one is when people walk over to you and try to lead you into asking a question to them about something they reallllllly wanna talk about.

    for instance:

them: "Hey Andy... did you see I got a new _________"
    me: ".....sweet"
them: "Yeah its pretty sweet heres all the features (they continue on and on and on and on and on"
    me: ".......sweet"
them: "Yeah I know a guy if you're interested...blah blah blah blah"

    and you get the point.

can't stand that stuff HOW DO I AVOID THIS

People who feel they have to take their shoes off in the office.

Not a problem if their feet don't stink. Problem if they do.

First, you forgot your ***** OFFICIAL ***** tags for this thread.

Second, you avoid this by digging into your pocket (or coin purse for the skinny-jean wearing types like myself) and handing a shiny quarter to the offending employee while stating "here, call someone who cares."

Re: Pet Peeves about Coworkers at Work

Oh, I've got a lot of those.
    • People who want to talk while I need it quiet.
    • People who want it quiet while I want to talk.
    • People who want to go home on time when I need them to do something.
    • People who want me to stay until quitting time when I want to leave early.
    • People who expect me to meet their deadlines.
    • People who can't understand how important my deadlines are.
    • People who don't really care how my weekend went.
    • People who want to tell me about their weekends.
I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

Nothing irritates me more than people clipping their fingernails in the office.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

People who bother me while I'm eating lunch at my desk. I want to go Billy Bob Thorton on them. (Bad Santa reference)

My only pet peeve is the woman who thinks I do absolutely nothing. It seems like every time she came back to the I.T area it doesn't look like I'm doing anything. (waiting for stuff to load, on the phone for parts etc)

She even got a bunch of people against the I.T department putting a door up.

    Maybe its just her...

    My teams: (as of 6/15/14)
    Cleveland Browns: 4-12 - .250
    Cleveland Indians: 34-35 - .493
    Cleveland Cavs: 33-49 - .402
    Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 3-9 - .250
    Iowa State Cyclones (BB): 28-8 - .778

I have a guy in my class that for some reason thinks he is my friend and cannot shut up. I'm polite but this is getting annoying, and I have stopped listening to him almost completely. He still doesn't shut up. Usually it's when I'm trying to get an assignment done or trying to code a website.

If this is semi-official shouldn't it only have one and a half asterisks on each side of the thread title?
