    Nebraska Scrimmage?

So does everyone remember the secret Nebraska Scrimmage where there were tons of rumors about Royce either being horrible or scoring like 30 and grabbing 15 boards and getting fouled 10 times?

I remember that a thread on that and all the different storys people heard.

Anyone ever find out what really happened?

Nope. I just heard Nebraska's 2 or 3 seven-footers all fouled out, or something to that effect

LOL. doesn't matter really. I believe both stories as we saw two different teams this year and two different Royces. While the two Royces might not be as polarizing as the rumors ... I could see him getting his rust shaken off and the team learning what he is able to do and what to expect.

Either way, kNU basketball is horrible and IState basketball is on the upswing and where it should be.

I was told by someone there that "at times we were very dominant" and at times "our defense look disorganized and downright pathetic." Oddly he didn't tell me the score, but said it looked like Iowa State had a ton of talent but the lack of cohesiveness was eye opening.

Time will tell, as Nebraska is taking their BTN money and basically 'buying' a MBB program with a new arena and all the fixings. Will look forward to them continuing their 'NEVER winning an NCAA mbb tourney game in history', well into the future

They might be trying to "buy" a program but so far all the major coaching candidates have turned them down. Greg Marshall supposedly turned it down at $2 million a year.

"Two other sources said that Nebraska reached out through a third party to Gonzaga's Mark Few and Colorado's Tad Boyle to gauge interest, but neither wanted to be involved. Interviews on Tuesday with three coaches who are still in the NCAA tournament or have direct ties to such teams said the coaching grapevine is in virtual agreement in the following thoughts on VCU's Shaka Smart and Ohio's John Groce:
Both are expected to stay at their schools if they don't find jobs they want at higher-profile basketball schools than Nebraska.
Last week, sources confirmed that UCLA's Ben Howland had talks with Nebraska but backed away."

Can you blame them? NU hasn't taken basketball serious ever. Until the fanbase get's their act together, they shouldnt have a good basketball team. NU fans are bandwagon fans.

To be honest, I have talked to mre husker fans that are UNC and Duke fans than Creighton fans. Well until this year that is. Since Creighton was ranked, they all jumped on the wagon.
